Hall of residence located in Gdansk, was a final year project design of undergraduate Architecture course. The main purpose was to create residential house for students which would meet modern European standards, with extra catering, sport and recreation functions.
The structure sit on site in a corner of Ziemovita and Sublislava streets. Situated in built-up neighborhood area within 50% of allotmenets. The concept of Green House, its truss-based construction and form was an effect of the deep site analysis, inspired by neighbourhood existing buildings, allotments and surrounding landscape and unique "rusty" atmosphere of the city.
Rooms created for students were dedicated for one person with built-in kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and work-place where students can study. The building consisted open space for every student, sport and recreation areas with common rooms to study in groups. The concept assumes the construction made of recycled materials, technology which uses rainwater and grey water for flushing and landscape irrigation and saves energy.
Design was developed in accordance with technical constraints, the gauidelines of project and goverment regulations.
